Power of 3 Mala Prayer Meditation

This is the prayer meditation that I do with my son every morning. In life the power of three is strength in creation. The first mantra creates. The second mantra is the foundation. The third mantra is stabilization. When we bring all three together we create a permanent structure and balance. In prayer we speak with the universe. This is many things in different religions. We all come back to one source. If you choose to adopt this mantra set you can make it your own to feel comfortable. I have struggled for many years trying to decide what to call the universal energy of life. Some days you will see me say God, or Lord & Lady, other times it is the Universe or the All. From everything I have learned in my 30 years of religious practice from every religion and science study I have ever had the honor of getting to know is that we are all one energy source feeding into each other, created from one source of central energy.

For this prayer meditation you start with the first bead on your Mala or prayer beads. For the first bead you say the following mantra:

"God you made me intelligent. Please help me with discipline, focus & follow through, so I can accomplish my tasks & achieve my goals. Blessed Be!"


After saying this you move to the next bead on the Mala or prayer beads. You say the following:

"I am grateful for all that I am, all that I have, and all that you want me to be! Thank you for creating me!"


After we say this we move to the next bead and say the third mantra:

"May you find healing & love for all that you give! I honor & respect you oh Lord as I honor & respect me!"

You continue to move from one bead to the next after saying each mantra, creating a complete circle of words. You move through each bead until you get back to the Meru bead or large beginning & ending bead. The continuous repetition breathes your words into existence. The follow through through all 108 Mala beads creates discipline. You will feel stronger and more grounded from practicing this prayer meditation everyday! You will also notice that you have more clarity and insight into life! :)

Healing from Negative Energy

We all have days where life takes a toll on us spiritually as well as mentally and physically. One set of Binaural Beats that I love to work with are by Ki Kaz. Binaural Beats, Isotronic Beats, & Ambient Sounds.......

Today I am not going to really get into the mechanics of sounds waves and how the energy helps to balance us. I am going to introduce some great meditation links that I use to help balance my 3rd eye. My 3rd eye gets a lot of use, and to help balance and heal it I like to use Binaural Beats, Isotronic Beats, & Ambient Sounds. I like these because I can play them at night or during the day and they do not interfere with what I am doing. The way I choose which ones work for me is to feel how my energy, mind, and body react to the sounds as I play them. I can feel my energy coming to a positive balance, feel calm, clear or tingly I know that this is one that will work to balance me. For those who are less connected to their spiritual self choose a beat that makes you feel good. Trust your instincts. You know what you need!

Daily Reiki Healing Meditation


Changes for this week in Retrograde

This has been a very hard retrograde on many people. If you are experiencing chaos yet feel as if things are going to be ok, but are hearing thoughts in your mind of fear "because how could you know they will be ok", or "life could be playing with you and the feeling of being ok means everything will fall apart", you are very right on all levels! This is the awkward balance of Gemini and your intuition both telling you the same thing. At the end of a retrograde everything does fall apart because the changes are coming to a head. When changes come they happen in many levels. First there is the awakening when you feel that change is coming. Next there is the shaking up and stirring up. Then there is the utter chaos, and finally there is the new in which we have to learn to adapt to everything. After the adaptation we feel ok because we have learned what is new and have an understanding of it all. Everything you are feeling about how it will be ok, is the after affect of what is to come. We never really feel good when we feel or experience something being destroyed especially when some of it is very permanent. But through it all we know that from creation comes chaos, but from chaos comes peace. These are the cycles of life. They look so much nicer here on paper than having to walk through them.

For those of you who are feeling the chaos ground your energy, your mind and yourself so that you can be centered and balanced as you go through the last two weeks of this retrograde. We are also making the transition from Gemini into Cancer coming on the 22nd of June. This will allow you to have clearer thinking and decision making during the last part of this retrograde. For my more intuitive people you are probably already feeling this break in rationality which will help to make the chaos easier to deal with! If you are feeling anger be sure to analyze it and put thoughts into it that are not fuel for the anger, but help you better understand why you are angry. Anger is a natural psychological reaction to life when we are faced with things that scare us and with all this change going on the unknown creates a fear that can turn into anger. Anger is not bad. There is both positive and negative in it as there are in everything. Some say that peace is the best way to balance anger, but in some cases you just need to blow through it in a positive setting. When faced with a wall water pushes through and then comes peace. For many this is the same response. When you burst through and allow yourself to feel the fire and rage and pain and everything that comes with it you are purifying yourself. To do this in a healthy manner we do not direct it at people we find a space that is our own and we can scream, and cry, or exercise hard to our favorite music, or go to the batting cages. You can beat your favorite pillow or look up some of the many variations used in psychology to allow patients to exude their anger in a positive and healthy manner.

Do not fear who you are, embrace who you are and allow yourself to work through things. Anger is the passion of our souls and it needs to be expressed so that we can cleanse and heal! It is a counter opposite to peace as peace needs balance as well. If someone is always at peace they may feel the negative sides of it in that they become weak and do not know how to properly stand up for themselves and then they begin to feel trampled and walked on. Peace needs anger just as much as anger needs peace. This is deeper work that takes time and a lot of thought! Keep working. As my guides told me this week as I was impatient and wanting to just get stuff done is relax. I said but I do not have time to relax. And my guides replied......darling there is nothing but time.

You have all the resources you need be sure to listen to your intuition it will tell you when the energy will flow, you will know when to fight through something, and you will know when to be at peace! Many blessings to all as you work through the next few weeks. I will leave you with three thoughts that have gotten me through the roughest of times and places.

1. Time is always moving forward, never backwards. While I feel stuck I am not in the place I was yesterday and I will not be in the place I am today, tomorrow. I will get through this if for nothing except that time is continuing to move.


2. I have lived through my whole life up to this point. I have survived that which I did not think I would survive and I have lived through that which I did not think I could live through. I made it then and I will make it now!


3. Take time to enjoy the journey. Sometimes we are so caught up in the fight that we close off from the moment. In closing off we do not learn the lessons we need to learn or we learn to close off our souls. While it may hurt do not close off from you. Exercise hurts when we are working out, but it is a part of what we need to get to the body we want. You are going to go through it anyway because this is life so make it your own!

Veggie Burger Cauliflower, Quinoa, White Beans

Last night I gave my hand at making my own veggie burgers. I use to buy the ones from the store, but the salt content has been giving me a headache as of late due to how clean my body has gotten over the last few months. My bittersweet love story resulted in me learning to cook my favorites and make them my own. I spent many hours researching different Veggie Burger recipes and realized that there are many ways to make a veggie burger. So I borrowed a little here and there then added my own twist.

We start with the base of cooked Quinoa, Cooked & Mashed Cauliflower, Canned Mashed Butter Beans, and Canned Sweet Corn. After seasoning to my liking I put a small amount into a separate bowl. As I discovered I enjoyed the base and I did not want to just eat it is a burger form. So I have saved the rest and am using it in other meals.

To the small amount I added flour and a brown egg (you can use a substitute). Then I meshed it into a patty and cooked it in coconut oil. In another pan I brought out my left over cabbage, onions, shitake mushroom, and cucumber saute from the other night and added a little bbq sauce to the left overs. I warmed this mix in a separate frying pan from the burgers and then used it to top the burgers. I like a little cheese so I added some shredded cheddar to the burgers before topping them with the bbq veggies. We used cereal (wheat) bread that came fresh from the local bakery in Korea.

The result....a yummy dinner that both satisfied and filled me! I could not finish the whole burger! I have not added portions for a recipe as I am a sight chef. I enjoy cooking by my senses so I could not tell you how much of this or that was put into everything. I hope that the pictures motivate you to find your own amazing combinations!

Friday June 13th & Mercury Retrograde.......

For many there is a negative connotation associated with Friday the 13th as well as Mercury Retrogrades. I have decided to write this post to help people understand the upcoming energy and take away the fears associated with it. We are currently in Gemini which can be a tricky period of time for some. Gemini is ruled by the planet Mercury and it is an Air sign which is all about communication. Gemini is a split sign and can leave you feeling as if you are dealing with two different minds. You may feel fickle and restless in making decisions and sticking to your path. As we know Retrogrades are a great time for clearing out old energies. The positive side of this is that as Gemini can be fickle but you know your mind. The two sides you may be getting are what you know you should do and what you really want to do. You can use the Retrograde energy to remove the obstacles from your path that cause confusion and help you to stand strong in your decisions. Believe it or not this is a great time for clarity as the Retrograde energy will highlight the things you need to get rid of by bringing the issues holding you back from your path to the forefront of your life. Friday's are a day that belong to Venus and are associated with pleasant undertakings, kindness, friendship & love. The number 13 in numerology is associated with luck and prosperity. In the Bible we see the number 13 constantly shown as a number of creation as there were 13 judges who were left by God to rule over the people of the earth. There were 12 disciples and with Jesus they became 13. In Paganism the number 13 is a number of great changes as it is associated with the Death card of Tarot. Death is not a negative thing in Paganism, the Egyptians saw death as a beautiful energy of change and that the most bountiful and prosperous crops came from soil that had been associated with the decomposition of a body. Feng Shui considers the number 13 to be related to the number 4 and is associated with Death or changes. People do not always welcome changes, but for those who understand that change is what brings balance the idea is not unlucky it is very lucky.

When we choose to face ourselves for who we are and what we need to focus on this is a very productive and prosperous time. Only for those who do not they will feel as if life is happening to them. This time is influenced by the energy of the Full Moon which begins at 09:13:45 PM MST. This will fuel extra energy from the universe to help us in focusing on our goals. The best way to use this energy is to focus on what you know you need to do and let go of everything else! Friday the 13th is a beautiful day in which the best of everything can happen by letting go of what we need to let go of and allowing ourselves the freedom to bring about change. Remember what you think is what you will get. So if you see the negative that is all that will appear, but if you see the positive you will grow the same. This is potent energy that will help you grow the intentions that you wish to see in the world. Think of Mercury's retrograde as the farm cleaning and clearing tools, the number 13 as the most fertile soil, and your thoughts as the seeds that will feed your life for the future.

Fruit Croissant

When learning to eat healthy we all need a naughty food to fill our appetites. Some people are very disciplined and can survive without it, but for the rest of us we find ourselves sneaking back to the unhealthy foods that make us feel security such as ice cream, snickers, and cake. I have been working on finding foods that are unhealthy, yet not so unhealthy at the same time. One of my favorite unhealthy but not so unhealthy snacks is the fruit croissant. I enjoy cooking my own unhealthy foods because I can control how much salt and sugar go into them. For this recipe I start with a bit of fruit. I used fresh apple and strawberries then dried blueberries and cherries. I put them in 1/2 a tsp of coconut oil and sauteed them until the apples were tender. Then I added 1/8 of a tsp of organic raw sugar (had to use the pinch method) and allowed them to caramelize just a little. Next I placed the fruit in a croissant that had been cut in half. Once the fruit is on the bottom half of the croissant I place the top of the croissant back on top. Then place the croissant in the microwave for 1-1 1/2 minutes depending on your wattage. We have a 700 watt microwave in Korea so it takes our food a little longer to cook. Wait for the microwave to beep and then serve hot and fresh! You can pair with more fruit. Today I added a banana to my plate and am enjoying a home made green smoothie made from fresh fruit juice I made with my juicer!

Simple Way to Destress Ear Reflexology

When life is stressful we store most of the tension in our upper body, primarily the heart and throat chakra points. We channel it up ward causing muscle tension and stress that creates headaches. Each part of our body is connected to the next and we see that in reflexology. Typically reflexology is most popularly known for the hands and feet, but we also have strong reflexology points in our ears. We do not have to be professional reflexologists in order to use the reflexology in our bodies. There are some natural ways to relieve stress when we need immediate stress release or we are in lack of a reflexologist. One of my favorite destressing tools is using water to heat up my hand and then gently touching my ear with my hand. I place my hand over my ear, then I gently apply pressure to my ear lobes and around the edges of my ear, and then to the back of my ear and the inside of my ear. If I find that my hand is cooling off then I simply reheat it with water to a comfortable temperature for my ear and continue to place my hands on my ears to relieve the stress. You will feel an immediate, unexpected calming sensation the moment you apply the warm hand to your ear.
