Holistic Way to Relieve Eyes from Onions when Cooking

For many of us our eyes become weak when cutting onions resulting sometimes in blinding burning and tears. We do not always have time to walk away and then come back when we are trying to get our food prepared. For a quick relief from onion pain stick your head in your freezer. The cold air will soothe your burning eyes and also help form a short timed barrier so that you can continue cutting onions.

Deeper Connection to Your Breath During Meditation

Meditation deepens our minds allowing us to let go of that which we do not need to find balance in our minds, bodies, and spirits. During meditation the breath is very powerful. The breath not only helps us to clear toxins out of our bodies, it helps to nourish us with the energy our bodies need to be healthy. We know that without the proper amount of oxygen that our muscles hurt and we can cause headaches as well as other various medical ailments. But I am not here to talk to you about the health benefits of the breath I am writing this blog to teach you how to form a deeper connection to your breath.

In meditation stillness meditations in which we just focus on the breath can be boring and tedious especially if we are just getting started. This blog is for my active mind people who have to feel as if they are doing something when the meditate. I do want to stop and say that when you finally learn to sit in stillness you will learn that this is the most powerful and active form of meditation because you are learning to concentrate energies. This is a workout in itself as you have to learn control over self long enough to be able to allow energy to flow where it needs to flow, calm where it needs to calm and let go what needs to be let go of. This is no feeble task.

But for this blog I want you to feel your breath. The breathing process is one of beauty. When we breathe in air goes into our bodies, but at the same time our  bodies prepare what is needing to be removed. As we exhale we release these toxins and our bodies absorb the nutrients that we just breathed in. As you breathe feel the breath in your body. Feel how each muscle and organ responds to the breath. Feel where in your body the oxygen stimulates. You will notice that you will feel the places of most stress the most as you breathe. Instead of focusing on the places of most stress focus on the places where you did not really feel the breath go. As you focus on this area and breathe you will notice a pull in other places in your body. If you have the tolerance to allow yourself to just be at peace you will sit and watch as your body processes naturally out that which you do not need and bringing in that which you need, bringing you to a balance.
